Is there any function that converts special characters to Space
Hello Pega world,
Is there any function that converts special characters to Space?? Please let me know for Example peter/2 should be peter 2 and abc@xyz should be like abc xyz

Thanks for posting on PSC.
You could use an OOTB function "replaceAll".
Syntax: String replaceAll(String aBaseString,String aOriginalChars,String aNewChars)
It replaces all occurrences of a substring "aBaseString" source string "aOriginalChars" substring to be located and replaced "aNewChars" as replacement value return String with all substitutions made.
Ex: replaceAll("peter/2","/"," ")

Hi Bhuveen,
If you want to replace all the special characters then you need to use the regular expression to match the special character then use replaceAll method from String class to replace it with the space. I had tried a sample use case to achieve your requirement, kindly go through the attachment.
