System Crashes on using Stored Proc or Connect SQL List

We are using Pega V7.2.1. We are trying to run a stored procedure as a RDB List: CALL data.UPDATE_batch_ID({.JobID}).

When running a large data set example: over a half million records, pega connector times out and leaves a global lock in the affected Oracle database table. The same query when called in SQL developer works fine and takes 90-110 seconds but does not work/ times out after approx 10 mins when running through pega.
