Stream Data Set

Hi All,

When creating a stream data set, dynamically endpoint url is created.( by adding data set name at the end to the url).

I would like to understand how pega consumes the stream messages as i cannot find any service http/Rest being created.

Hi Sowjanya,

There is no HTTP/REST service  been created in the back end. Pega internally handles the whole process.

Please let us know if you have any requirement regarding this.

Hi,

I was just trying to find out which rules will run in backend when a request hits stream data set endpoint urls.

Any additional information  on Stream Data set/Data set would be helpful.

For Stream dataset, Pega creates Rest and WebSocket service rules and they are internal to Pega and will not visible.

However, you can create your own Rest Service and in the service activity you can populate the data to the dataset using DataSet Execute - Save method.
