SQL query to update the value for an exposed column the value for which is already there in the blob
I have a requirement where I have to update the value for an exposed column via sql the value for which is already there in the blob . Can I do it and what would be the query to update the exposed column value from blob .

What do u mean re-expose the property . I already exposed the property which created a dedicated column in the data base table . Now I want to populate values in this exposed column from the blob via a SQL query and I don't want to optimize from designer studio or populate the column value through a utility.

Hi Nikhil,
Ok I was under impression that you might have updated the exposed column with incorrect data.
If you dont want to reoptimize it, you can obj-browse on the class and update the values.
Or you can use pr_read_from_stream('.PropName',pzInsKey,pzPVStream) to form a query and update the required column.

As I understand, you have optimized the property and now you want to populated the respective DB table column for existing (old) data (rows).
You can use command line either prpcUtils or prpcServiceUtils to run column population tool and populate the exposed column. Please go through below link.
