SPPR_DEFRAGMENT_TABLE - insufficient privileges to run procedure
Hi,
I have a Pega8.1 system and in the log files, I notice that the SPPR_DEFRAGMENT_TABLE tries to run but can't because there are insufficient privileges. I'm told that the database ID can't have permissions to create and drop tables which are required for this procedure.
I see in the DSS that I can disable the defrag by setting "syslocks/defragEnabled" to false.
What is the negative consequence by not running the defrag? What tables need to be defragmented and how often? What are the Best Practices on table defragmentation?
