"SilverLight Control ERROR in 'sGetWordMacroDotPath': Microsoft Word version '15.0' is not supported" using 7.1.6 and 32 bit MS Word

Hi,

I am getting this error "SilverLight Control ERROR in 'sGetWordMacroDotPath': Microsoft Word version '15.0' is not supported" when trying to merge the word document using MS Office 2013. I am using PEGA 7.1.6, browser I.E and word installed is a 32 bit. Please help.

Hi Santosh,

As per our product support guide important notes it clearly states below : https://collaborate.pega.com/discussion/prpc-5x-6x-platform-support-guide-easy-find

In Pega 7.1.6, Office 2013 32-bit is only supported for Excel. 

Hence we suggest you to upgrade to any higher version of PRPC or lower version of Office.

SUMMARY

Word merge feature works when using Microsoft Word 2010, but not when using Microsoft Word 2013.

ERROR MESSAGES

SilverLight Control ERROR in 'sGetWordMacroDotPath'. Microsoft Word version '15.0' is not supported

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Call Pega section pzWordMergeSL from the local section.
2. Launch pzSilverLightWordMergeControl.

ROOT CAUSE

Integration with Word 2013 is not supported until Pega 7.1.7.

This is mentioned on page 16 of the Platform Support Guide (https://collaborate.pega.com/discussion/prpc-5x-6x-platform-support-guide-easy-find).

RESOLUTION

Upgrade to the latest version of Pega 7.1.

In the same page I see that "Pega 7.1.6 - 7.1.7 is compatible with Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, 2010, and 2013". Please find this link below:
