Show Operator's Workbaskets in Portal
The Get Next Work button pulls Work Items from the WorkBaskets listed in the Operators profile, but the Portal Widget only displays the WorkBaskets that are a part of the Operator’s WorkGroup. We would like to allow Operators to choose tasks directly from their assigned WorkBaskets as well as by clicking the Get Next Work button. How can we get the Portal Widget to display the WorkBaskets that are listed in the Operator Profile but not associated with their WorkGroup?

The posts above led us in the right direction. We solved the problem by building a dashboard widget that refers to the OperatorID.pyWorkBasketList.

I see that getNextWorkObject calls findAssignmentInWorkbasket. There is code here that checks the value of pxRequestor.pyWorkbasket. You could create your own dashboard widget to display the data in pxRequestor.pyWorkbasket.

Pega internally calls pyWorkBasketsInMyWorkGroupForWidget report definition to display WorkBaskets which are associated with operator's workgroup.

In your requirement, you can customize the activity and populate based on your logic. You can copy the OOTB WB population activity and then customize as you need.

We were able to successfully create a custom widget to display all the Operator’s workbaskets by:
- Creating a Section
- Configuring it as a dashboard widget
- Creating a table
- Configuring the table’s data source to be the clipboard array (Operator’s list of baskets).
