Service Package - Pooling configuration need restart?
Hi everyone,
when changing the Pooling configuration on a Service Package (like Maximum wait (in seconds)) Pega nodes need a restart?
I thought no, but we still some timeout issue when being called by external systems.
I checked on the help but didn't specify if a restart is needed.

The rule of thumb between DSS and system settings:
- System Settings is a Rule instance , whereas DSS is a Data instance
- SS Changes need a restart , DSS usually do not need a restart.
Note that when using the system name and other factors we are creating the requestors in that instances. If we change the System name all the requestors which might be active as well needs to be re-validated so a restart would be required.
A server restart is required only when we Create/Update DSS to override values from prconfig.xml
DSS always takes precedence when compared to prconfig.xml. DSS is to be updated when setting should be generic and prconfig.xml to be updated when the setting should be specific.

When to restart Process Commander (including JVM re-initialization)
The System Admin documentation recommends a restart in certain instances.

@MarijeSchillern Hi Marije, sorry but i don't understand your reply.
i wasn't asking when we need to restart the server, but if we need to restart the server when we change the Maximum wait (in seconds) parameter in a Service Package (DATA-ADMIN-SERVICEPACKAGE class) in order to be effective. Dev Studio help doesn't specify if it's necessary or not.
