Search window not working in Pega 8 composite portal

Hi,

Need an urgent support

I am working on developing a composite portal in P8 by referring P7 fixed portal. There are some issues while i am trying to call a listview on click of link in P8. Please refer attached doc for more info on issue.

Both list views and fixed portals are deprecated. Trying to make this work in Pega 8 is going to be an exercise in frustration. Additionally, since they are deprecated you will not receive formal support (through an SR).

Perhaps you can take a step back and discuss why you are trying to make very old technology/features to work on our modern platform?

I noticed that you use Chrome for P8 but IE for P7.

Could you check if it will be visible in IE for P8?

I suspect that popup window is using Adobe Flash or something which has no support in Crome (or in general - old Pega features work only in IE sometimes)

(i hope what by IE you mean exactly Internet Explorer V11 or below, not Edge)

Can you check then, using LiveUI, what's behind these buttons? what actions/funcitons etc..

Yes i have tried in Internet Explorer V11.

I can't put a Live UI on the popupwindow. In tracer the below ootb activity is getting called

PopUp_PickReportValues
RS:Pega-Reporting:08-01-01

Try this: find this rule (PopUp_PickReportValues) in older ruleset (from Pega-Reporting:07-10-xx) and make a private check out.

Thus by clicking on the button, the older rule will be picked up. Will it solve the problem?
