Saving data related to a Case
Hi All ,
I have a requirement where I have to save the work object data without submitting the assignment . The issue is unless I submit the assignment the data won't be saved in the page , and hence obj-save method or out of box activity like Save or DoSave will not work . I can post the vales of individual fields but that is a tidious job since I have n number of fileds in the section . Is there a way to save work object data without submitting the assignment .

You can use Obj-Save method by checking "WriteNow" checkbox to commit the data before submitting.

You can use Obj-Save in the caller activity and commit the change(s) in that activity itself, instead of depending upon Assignment commit.

Hi Nikhil,
I hope I got your question properly. You want to save data on work page before you complete the assignment. You can do this by configuring your FlowAction as Local Action of Assignment and once assignment starts, from 'Action' button at the top right corner of Harness you can execute the FA. In FA , after taking data once you hit the Submit button you can make changes in pyWorkPage page and commit the changes . This way you can save data before completion of assignment.
But on a seperate note, I would like to say that commiting changes in any activity in running flow is not recommended and could cause lock issues. So try to avoid this kind of commits and stick to default commit operations which are performed as flow progress by system itself. Please see this link for information on this.
