Saving attachments in a different table

Currently attachments are being saved to the table tied to "Data-WorkAttach" in the pega cloud. Is there any reason we can't simply replicate that table in another database in the AWS cloud and point that class to this new table so that we can maintain attachments in our own cloud instead of the Pega cloud? This way we have more control over the size of the DB containing it?
