Generally you need to take the following into account when planning for how many bots you will need;

1. What is the average handle time for a piece of work?
   1. Since you already have the automation running, this is something you can easily calculate or add logging to determine with a high level accuracy.
2. How many pieces of work are you expecting per day?
3. What is the availability of the applications you are automating?
   1. This determines your hours of operation for the bots (i.e. they can work 24/7 themselves, but obviously cannot work when the applications you are interacting with are not up).

Once you have identified all of these factors, you can then estimate your needs. It just becomes a math problem at that point.

You might also consider the SLA for the work and what your peak load is.  You can use a Erlang calculator or workforce management application to help.

My approach is identify all automation opportunities by Heuristic [Manual] or Algorthemic, 

If Manual -RDA - then calculate MIO-ROI , No of Agents , Average Talk Time, FCR etc then calculate ROI 

If RPA - Identify right bot [ Claim or Customer Support or Complaince or Date Migration or Product or Product Utlity]
