Replacement for deprecated pyCMEvents7 section

I see that the section pyCMEvents7 has been deprecated as per the link below:

Say i need such a functionality that shows calendar items/ appointments, is it a good way to make use of a deprecated rule by resaving it to the current application context? Or do we have a new gadget that does that job better?

Updating this thread.

The "LandingPageBody" section of PegaMKT-Data-MarketingCalendarItem class seems to be using the pxCalendarViewGadget with proper parameterization. One can use that section/ refer to that section in order to use a custom calendar feature.
