Remove OOTB Attachment Category "File"
Using OOTB Access Control, we can remove the attachment category "File" from the category dropwdown list which is visible when uploading files.
- Go to "Records" -> "Process" -> "Attachment Category"
- Open "File" (Work-).
- "Save as" to your ruleset.
- Add 1 Access Control
- When: "Never"
- Create: Enable
- Edit: Enable
- Delete own: Enable
- Delete any: Enable
- "File" is now unavailable in the attachment category dropdown list when uploading a file.

In addition to the solution of removing "File" from the dropdown, a new problem arrises.
When you upload a file and do not change/select a attachment category, it still defaults to "File".
To aid this problem, you can add a Post-Process datatransform to the "pyAttachContent" flow-action.
- First line should be:
- For each page in: dragDropFileUpload.pxResults
- Pages & Classes:
- dragDropFileUpload.pxResults: Embed-DragDropFile
- dragDropFileUpload: Code-Pega-List
- Now you can apply your custom code to ".pyCategory".
