Random behavior of Backspace on Mobile and Laptop

The system behavior is very random regarding the use of Backspace in mobile and laptop. Sometime, it works and sometimes it not that too on the number property.

Could you please elaborate on the random behaviour of the backspace button with the number property. Please attach the screen-shots to understand the issue much better. Hope the below link helps you on a similar issue with the backspace button for a number property.
