Question on custom search of bundled cases
Hi,
For custom search of bundled cases, how can we show the parent case when a child case is searched for? Inside the parent case the child cases view will be displayed. So the requirement is to populate the matching child's parent case in the Search results.

Hello,
I am not aware of an out of the box facility to do that for you. I expect you need to customize the search to go back for parents of children that show up. Then you'll need to ensure that you don't duplicate results if the value you are searching for appears in both the parent and the child, and possibly reorder the results/customize the display, depending on your business requirements.

If your search index is keyed off of strings found within the objects, then if you make sure that a string representation of your child's ID is stored in the parent object, then when you search for the child ID, a match should be found in the parent object as well, so both the parent and child will show up in the search results. /Eric
