Problem Mapping data when using Case Creation API
Hi,
I am facing problem while creating cases using Pega case creation API.
{
"caseTypeID": "Jxx-Location-Work-Example",
"processID": "pyStartCase",
"ClipboardPage": [{"PropertyName":"Property Value", "pxobjclass":"Jxx-Location-Data-Example"}]
}
In the above example, the Property Value is not getting set to the Clipboard Page.
Please suggest if there is anything wrong with the Syntax or any way to map the data from clipboard properly.

Thanks For your reply. The issue is resolved. The Clipboard page is updated with the property value properly if it is given in the below format,

"caseTypeID": "MyCo-PAC-Work-ExpenseReport", // replace with your own case type class name
"processID": "pyStartCase",
"parentCaseID": "string", // optional
"content": {"propertyname1":"propertyvalue1","ClipboardPage":{"PropertyName2":"Property Value3","pxObjClass": "MyCo-PAC-Data-ExpenseReport"}}
}
Everything which needs to be mapped to the Clipboard should be present with in the Content {} .The Property Value mentioned with in content{}, but with out explicit clipboard page, will be mapped to the Primary page (PropertyName1 in our example).That is work Page.
The Property name mentioned with the Clipboard page with in content will be mapped to the exact clipboard page (Property Name 2 in our example).
The Out of the Box activity to create case merges the Content Page to the work page.

what is your pega version? Please elaborate how you set it up (a few screenshots should clarify)? Any exceptions in the pega logs? Also check if your use case is similar to this: https://community.pega.com/support/support-articles/pega-rest-api-cases-not-working-expected

Hi,
Version is 7.2.2.Sorry i don't have the screenshots now. But my usecase is similar to that.But i am mapping the property to a Clipboard page directly.
