Print WebPage without using SendKeys in openspan. what is the usage of PrintDocument and PrintDialog and how to use these controls
Hi,
I want to print complete webpage and save it into local machine using openspan controls. i have achieved with Sendkeys in form level but it fails when we lock the machine.
need some suggestion how to achieve the print functionality. i found some controls like PrintDocument and PrintDialog but don't know how it will work. I also researched about Print Method but i din't find this in Configure Type.
Please provide some guidance to resolve the issue

Some controls are not available (particularly with Microsoft products) when the machine is locked. The applications simply do not create them when they know the machine is locked. This makes it impossible to automate the same steps a user would take, because they do not operate with their screens locked. SendKeys will never work when the screen is locked, and should only be used as a last resort.
To bring up the print dialog for a page, you can call the ExecuteScript method. You can use some JavaScript to trigger the print dialog...window.print(); will work.

Try interrogating the gear icon on the IE browser and then generate the menu items and select File -> Save As...
I have not tried this in a locked machine but perhaps it will work. PrintDocument and PrintDialog are C# components. Review Microsoft's documentation for more information on these but I don't think these components will do what you are looking for.

Thank you very much for your help. Its working fine by using window.print() and laguage as JavaScript in "ExecuteScript" method.
i am facing issue while save the webpage after click on "Print" button". Actually i am getting 2 different kind of "Save As" and "Save the files As" dialogues. below are the snapshots.
even sometime if it goes to "save the file as" dialogue window, textbox control not allowing to provide "fileName".
i have verified "Wait for create" control, even window got created this is goes to false.don't know why its behaving differently. please let me know if any clarity required on this issue
could you please help me if there is any way to solve this kind of issue..

I don't really understand your issue as those two look very similar and both seem to have the area where the file name is entered not set to read-only.
You might consider opening an SR so support can assist you with the specific controls. If you do open an SR, please update the post here with the SR number.
