prcluster_service.war

Apache Ignite was deprecated as of Pega 8.1. I still find "prcluster_service.war" is included in all versions throughout 8x, but is this for different purposes? I thought this is specifically for Ignite. If this is not only for Ignite, how are we supposed to use this?
