Personal Edition Update
Hi,
Can we update Pega 7 personal edition to the latest version instead of downloading and installing the entire software again.I know there is a section "Pega 7 Update software" under Support/downloads menu in PDN. Is it for personal edition or enterprise edition?

Hi Sridhar,
You will have to download and install the software in case of an upgrade or update. And you can receive only personal edition from Support/downloads menu in PDN.

Hello Sridhar ,
you always get the latest GA release of PRPC in personal edition so you no need to update it .
right now it's 7.2.2 .

Hi Arun,
Entire PE edition software is of 4.3 GB in size. I think "Update software" is of around 1 GB in size having only additional features that get introduced with any latest version(ML). Updating software is fast and retains the existing applications. If we install latest version of PE(7.2.2) from scratch, we may need to export the existing applications that were built on older version to have them imported on latest version. It seems "Update software(path: Support/downloads/Pega7 update software)" is available to enterprise edition (licensed version) and not for personal edition.I feel, If update software is available for PE, it will be easy to update to newer ML versions without having to download bigger full software file.Any thoughts?
