Performance degrade with MS SQL vs Oracle
Currently we are using Oralce 12C with PEGA 7.1.9 in our application. We are planning to DB migration from Oracle to MS SQL.
Can you please clarify on the below points?
1. Any performance degrade with MS SQL vs Oracle, Pro’s and Con’s if possible
2. Most Recommended DB platform for PEGA among Oracle & SQL

1. Any performance degrade with MS SQL vs Oracle, Pro’s and Con’s if possible
Ans. The Report Definitions using Rule Resolution filtered options have some known performance issues on MSSQL server and it is suggested to install 2 Hotfixes mentioned in the below article along with DSS to overcome that.
Eg:- Query's starting with "WITH rr_inheritance_pc0" OR "WITH app_rulesets_pc0"

Apart from the above queries, there are no specific pro's & con's between Oracle & SQL. While Oracle DB has some performance issues on querying metadata, SQL don't have such issues.
2. Most Recommended DB platform for PEGA among Oracle & SQL
Ans. There is no such thing as "Most recommended" for Pega. Both are supported versions and you can report to Pega in case of any specific issues after migration by providing the background.
