While installing Pega personal edition 8.4  I got error.rule based failed.atthaching screenshots below

It looks like postgres data folder already exists and which is not empty in "C:/PRPCPersonalEdition/pgsql/data". May be you can try to empty this folder and have a retry of the installation.

Note: Kindly cross check if you have any important data before removal.

Please try to install the Personal Edition with a different Port number instead of 5432 change the Port Number to 5433

or 5434  and check the port availability before start installation.

Hi Swetha,

Seems the application is not able to connect to the database server. Disable the antivirus software if you have any in your machine. If this option doesn't work then change the installation directory from C to other while installing the personal edition.
