Currently our app is running on PEGA 8.2.6 with the Robot Manager 8.2.2 and Robot Runtime 19.1.38.
We are planning to go with Pega 8.6 upgrade, and we do not want to upgrade Robot Manager & runtime.
Pega has given a supporting Pega Version requirement for each of the Robot Manager Version , Based on that PEGA 8.6.1 of robot manager requires a Pega version of PEGA 8.6.X, However we don’t find any related article for the backward compatibility of Pega 8.6.X with Robot Manager 8.2.X. Could you please advise ,can we go with the Pega upgrade to 8.6 without upgrading the Pega robot Manager and runtime ?
Pega Robot Manager versioning is aligned to Pega Platform from Pega Platform 8.2.x and Robot Manager 8.2.x. The compatibility is both directions. Pega Platform requires Pega Robot Manager on the same minor version level and Pega Robot Manager requires Pega Platform on the same minor version level.
To use Pega Platform 8.6.x with RPA you will require upgrading to Pega Robot Manager 8.6.x.
Are there any particular reasons why upgrading RM is a challenge for you?
