Pega UI - Submit button - Preventing to change button label after submitting form
Hi all,
I have a problem with the default Submit button UI component. When you click it to submit the form, the label change from whatever it was before to "Submitting". Is there a way to keep the default label or to change the "Submitting" label to something else ? My customer doesn't want to see the label change at all.

Hi everyone,
The solution was to add this function to the HTML Fragment Rule UserWorkForm of the application :
function doFormSubmit(strAction, objButton, strBusyText,event) {
if(strBusyText === "Submitting..."){
strBusyText = objButton.value;
}
return pega.u.d.submit(strAction, objButton, strBusyText,event);
}
Hope this can help other people facing the same issue.

The text for Submit button comes from the field value lookup (pyButtonLabel, Submit). You can override the field value record to display different value. Use the references to know where it is been used. Changing the text on different flow actions using the default perform harness is not that straightforward.
I guess HTML Fragment HarnessString_ButtonSubmit is been called. You can enable to stream rules in tracer and validate the label change.

Thanks for your answer, the stream rule HarnessString_ButtonSubmit is the one I was looking for to be able to change the Submitting label.
I thought the field value pyStatusLabel • Submitting would be used instead, but it seems the value is hard coded instead.
The problem is that the HarnessString_ButtonSubmit rule is Final, and can't be specialized.
From my point of view, the field value pyStatusLabel • Submitting should be used, but this doesn't seem to be the case.
