Can some one help me on How to copy data from word to Excel

The simplest way would be something like this:
It copies all text from Word document to A1 cell in newly created Excel workbook.
Word connector and Excel File Connector are used here.
If you need something more complex then you have to read a bit about Word and Excel object models.
