Pega Robotics Translators
Hi All,
I am new to Pega Robotics and was wondering when to develop translators for an application.
Is that when,
Interrogation only able to create generic Window Class Name Match Rule or Windows application runes very slow or Can't interrogate at all?What are the other situations we will need translators?

Hi Asirichathu,
Yes, what you said was right. We go for Translators when we are not able to interrogate the Control or when we don't have any existing methods to get the work done on the Control.

Hi Karthik, can there be any situation that we can use translators to speed-up RDA when its interacting with a Java application that Pega is peformaing tasks very slow?Because I am working in a client project that we use an Java application in which we see lot of latency matching controls

And also want to get clarified what you meant by'don't have any existing methods'.Do you mean we are introducing new methods to the control? or enabling the control to use the known methods that it should use like the other controls of the same kind?I know even now developers can develop translators on their own.But I am somewhat new to using translators.
for example, If we have a Button control in an application and we cant find the performClick method, then we write a translator to add performClick to that Button control.Is my understanding correct?or we can even add a method with a random name to that control using translators?
