Pega Robotics with Remote Desktop
Hi. We got the following two questions on using Pega Robotics on the remote desktop:
1. Can Pega Robotics, RDA and RPA, work properly in the thin client machine using remote desktop on the Windows Server?
2. Can the robot that worked fine in the environment above be properly migrated to the other environment?
Any thoughts on how we can answer these questions?

1. Pega Robotics can work properly running a machine that you access via Remote Desktop. It cannot control any applications running on another computer that you access via Remote Desktop. Basically, as long as you are running Runtime on the computer where your applications are running, you would be fine.
2. This robot would be fine to run on another desktop assuming the versions of the applications are identical on another machine.

In the second sentence of #1 in your previous response, "applications running on another computer" indicates, for example, the Citrix context's remote server, etc.?

That is correct. In order to interact with applications running on a remote computer, we have the Citrix Context which only works with Citrix. This still requires Runtime to be running on the remote machine, but allows for communications between the two runtimes via the context. We do not have any such context for remote desktop.
