Pega On-Premise: Configure PDC with Proxy
Hi everyone,
we're want to configure PDC (we already asked a tennant) in our On-Premise system, that is not internet exposed (also doesn't reach internet).
Client infrastructure team has set up a proxy (using squid) to reach internet server.
We've checked on community and found this document "Configuring on-premises systems for monitoring with PDC" but it states that we need to configure the proxy at application server level.
the difficult part is that we need to specify every connection that doesn't need a proxy (in our case, every connection except the for PDC) so it's not very practical and easy maintainable for future development.
is there a way to configure the proxy only for PDC? We're on Pega 8.5.3 with FCC.

@AndreaG86 Unfortunately, Java works with an 'opt out' policy on proxies. However, the nonProxyHosts arguement takes wildcards - so if your back ends are in the same DNS namespace you can cover it in one entry. For example, say my back-ends were all <service>.myco-internal.net then -Dhttp.nonProxyHosts=*.myco-internal.net would cover it
It's not just pega with the challenge - got similar notes from others
ideally; persuade your sysadmins to avoid using a proxy server and allow outbound traffic to PDC through your firewall - that makes things much simpler ...
