Pega Native Foundation installation issue
Hi,
We are unable to install Pega Native Foundation package in our windows server.
We see below exception in windows event logs.
Product: Pega Native Foundation -- Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action DeletePNFService, location: C:\, command: sc.exe delete "PegaNotificationManager"
Below exception is coming as a message while installing or un-installing the package.

Hi,
Our system admin deleted the PNF registry key and completely uninstalled the package.
Later I was able to install all the packages successfully. Thanks.

Thanks for the link. I have gone through this already, but not sure how to delete the registry key for this in second step.
Delete the registry entry for the Pega Notification Manager to delete the services.
Any idea how to remove this?

Hi,

FYI, for other's who may have run into this same issue and deleting registry entries did not work. I simply created the entry in Services that it was failing to delete (using the same command Pega install uses) and that fixed the issue for me.
sc.exe create PegaNotificationManager binpath= "\"C:\Program Files (x86)\Pegasystems\Pega Native Foundation\Pega.Robotics.Service.exe\"" DisplayName= "Pega Notification Manager" start= demand
I believe root cause was developer was still running the studio when we attempted original upgrade
