Pega Instance Refresh from an existing one
We are building new sandbox PRPC 7.3.1 instance but we want to copy all the rules and data schema from an existing instance(like dev or test or prod). Does it work if we just copy the schemas at db level and install tomcat and configure PRPC server without db install? Please let us know if there is any document for refreshes.

I am looking for updating the configuration before opening the prsysmgr but not after opening it. I found it under Designer Studio -> System ->Settings ->URLs

Hi Nirmala,
Yes,you can copy the database,Change the context.xml with the new databse details ,update the server.xml with the new port number,deploy the war/ear files and run the server.

Hello - we refreshed the instance fine. But the system management is still showing old URL. How do I update it.
I open it from Designer Studio -> System -> Operations -> System Management application
or URL with prsysmgmt

Click on the pen and editor icon next to the Node in SMA to modify the node configuration. Or you can create a new Node entirely for the new server / instance.
