Pega Client for Windows in 8.4

We are currently using Pega Client for Windows app which runs on 7.3.1. Now we are planning to upgrade from 7.3.1 to 8.4. 

Earlier we use to send the file to Pega support team to get the app build for us, Do we have to still go with the same process after upgrading to 8.4 also?

After upgrade do we have to rebuild the app contacting pega support team to get the 8.4 changes or will the already provided app file works for 8.4 which is built in 7.3.1?

 

Can anyone kindly help with these details.

Hi,

Yes, for now, the process is still the same. You need to contact Support or your Account Executive to get a customized build. Note that we are in the process of updating Market Place component which is for now, 8.3 compatible. Saying that, It is recommended to use mobile clients for Android/iOS which are more frequently updated with new capabilities and is up-to-date with latest Platform releases.
