Pega automation for HP ALM webpage
Hi,
I am new to Pega and I am trying to automate HP ALM webpage which is java based application in IE.
The methods in Pega are not working as expected for this application.
For Example,
- Click By Text method identifies and clicks the text but returns false, which in turn slows down my automation.
- Click Item By Text method is not clicking on the correct item in the list.
Can anyone please help me to understand where the issue lies and how can I resolve.

Hello ,
Its is absolutely fine to automate java based web pages.
- there are multiple ways to click , as below :
- clickByOCR - 3 inputs , here you can specify the text , and focus needed or not ( if the method available for your control )
- clickByOCR - 5 inputs , here you can click on a text by passing adjacent text.( if the method available for your control )
- use Control region feature.
- for slowness, check if , any events has to be triggered ..
- slowness can be traced by runtime logs , verbose modes.
any specific issue persists while interrogation., use javascripts or raise support ticket for Pega Support.
