do we currently have a way to quickly determine whether PEGA is online or offline? is there an API/URL that we can hit to get this status?

Hi,
You can verify whether a Pega 7 Platform instance is up and running by entering this URL: http://<<hostName:port/contextName>>/PRRestService/monitor/pingservice/ping
https://docs-previous.pega.com/performance/pinging-pega-7-platform-instance
Thank You

Just FYI:
The monitor/pingService/ping Rule-Service-REST wasn't added to the Pega Platform until version 7.1.9.
For 7.1.8 there is Hfix-29529 that is a backport.

The HFIX is actually HFIX-29592*

Hi @pratik ,
We are using pega 8.2.6 and could not find pingservice in "monitor" service package.
I am not sure where exactly you found this service. Could you please let us know in which service package you found this service.
Thanks !!!
Any help from others would highly appreciated !!!!
