Pega Admin Portal Read only

I have a requirement to create access group with read only roles for Admin portal. I have tried using the Pega standard access roles in my access group.

1)PegaRULES:SysOpsObserver

However when i log in using the ID im seeing this error:
Contact Administrator

I tried adding this role :PegaRULES:SysAdm4 and it works but this role gives the complete access which i do not need.Do help to advice on the approach to be taken.

Hello,

I tried this AG and it well put Admin portal in RO mode (for what I checked)

What you miss I think is your application access to then access Admin Portal.

You should start from an existing application AG, keep the minimum and add this SysOps role.
