Pega 8 Automated User Testing
We have several unit tests and test suites set up in our Pega 8.3 environment. We are trying to accomplish 2 things that were possible in Pega 7, but do not seem to exist anymore in Pega 8:
- Schedule automated test suite runs
- Define the Operator ID that the tests should run as
The Administrator access group was given the privilege AutomatedTest as described in https://community.pega.com/sites/default/files/help_v81/procomhelpmain.htm#rule-/rule-autotest-/rule-autotest-suite/main.htm, but the above capabilities still do not appear.

As you are in 8.3, I hope you are referring to PegaUnit when you mentioned you have several unit tests and test suites setup. PegaUnit testing currently does not support scheduling from with in the platform but we have exposed a rest service (pzExecuteTests) which executes the PegaUnit test cases or suites as configured and can be called from either Deployment Manager or from third party CI tools for executing the tests continuously. Current recommendation is to execute the tests using an operator id or accessgroup which has all the needed access and is like a master operator.
