in case you are not able to resolve your issue, please note the below:
Retirement of Pega Personal Edition
The Pega Personal Edition was a download of the Pega platform designed to work on a laptop or personal PC. It included a Tomcat web server and a PostgreSQL open-source database.
However, with the advances of Pega’s underlying infrastructure, it is no longer feasible to maintain and publish self-contained VMs running our product. Additionally, as Pega is now a Software-as-a-Service company, it makes sense to move to a similar model for our field consultants to use in demos and proof-of-concept systems (POCs).
Therefore, we encourage you to leverage the Community Edition.
The Community Edition (available here) is a trial version of the Pega Platform designed for use as a dev sandbox. It’s the perfect place to explore the latest version, learn and refine Pega skills, build POCs, etc.
A Community Edition system is issued for 30 days, and can be self-extended by an additional 15 days. You are always welcome to sign up for another Community Edition system when you need one. You can export any applications that you build, so you can import them as a starting point in the future.

Working on Community Edition will not impact client environments, and allows you to triage issues in the same way as our enterprise edition.
Since the Personal Edition involves installing the supporting open-source components (the web server and database), it is no longer representative of Pega’s current technology. Our architecture design has become more complex, and cannot be replicated on a single, one-click-to-install desktop image. Instead, by taking a SaaS approach, all Pega Community Edition Cloud systems are standardized on a single architecture, removing the need to configure specific custom settings from client to client.
For employees, and also approved Partners and clients, PegaLabs is available as a longer-term option, designed for use by small teams with more access to back-end tools such as installing strategic apps or trying different platform versions. See here for more information.
