Optimizing for Reporting & Declare Index rule

Hello All, 

I assume that, property optimization process will create a new column in data table.So, we can use this column for reporting purpose instead of fetching from BLOB. 

But, my query was, in property optimization process why "Declare Index" rule was created for this property? Does it create index for this property in Data table? Kindly confirm.Thanks

Hi

Can you confirm that are you Runnning the Property Optimization Wizard on a property embedded in a pagelist?

If it is then Pega must be creating the declare index OOTB.

It seems like the property which you had optimized is the Pagelist property.
