Report Defnition join with declare index

Hi , I am working on Pega 7 Report defnition reports, I tried to join Declare index rule in Report defnition rule on Join tab, pega removing the added Index join entry when saving Report defnition rule. if you have any solution or work around please let me know.

Reports will remove the index if it is not actually used anywhere in the report on save.  It does this as an optimization to prevent unessecarily slow SQL.

 

If you actually reference the index somewhere (like as a column or filter) then it will not be removed on save.
