Opening a Case through Grid

HI I have a requirement to show all cases belonging to different stages in a dashboard.on click of the stages all cases which corresponds to that stage are being displayed in a Grid.Once i click on that case id link on that link it should open the case for me.

the issue i am facing is the source for the Grid is D_Caseinsteps Data page as a result the case is not opening in a new thread and its not available in clipboard also.

Kindly tell me method to open the case as a seperate thread.i am currently using the action open-by-handle and giving pzinskey value to open..

Have you implemented a custom solution for this requirement? Have you looked into the OOTB Case Lifecycle widget you see on the dashboard in the OOTB Case Manager portal? It does everything you described.
