navigating through lifecycle of a case

How to go to next stage of life cycle of a case without using the pega provided submit button?can we do the same with any button created manually?

Hi,

There is a Work- API activity called pxChangeStage that is designed to be used from a utility shape in a flow or from a flow action post-processing activity. It is not designed to be called directly from a button as it relies on flow processing to perform the commit. This is similar to what you are requesting and should be a good place to start.
