Open a case in perform harness from within another case
Hello everyone,
I have 2 objects that aren't directly related to each other. However, I am storing the pzInsKey of the second object in a property in the first. I am trying to open this second object from within the first in perform harness using "Open Work By Handle" (I configured that in the actions tab of a button) (see below attachement)
However, this second object is opening in a Review harness, while I wish to have it open in Perform harness. There does not seem to be any parameter to set with the Open Work By Handle method (that would allow me to specify the type of harness to be Perform).
Any suggestions as to how I can implement this?

Opening a work object always opens in review harness. Try Open assignment with key of the assignment which you want to open in perform harness.

Hello again Goutham,
After doing some research, there is a field called pxAssignmentKey which is what we should pass to the Open Assignment method. My problem is that the work item I am trying to access is closed and not open, so the references throws an error.
This is from the definition of an assignment in the Pega Help:
"Assignments are a record of a temporary condition of an open work item within an executing flow."
Since the work item in my case is not open anymore (but I wish to re-open it) I am unable to use the Open Assignment.

Ok. So, you might have to re-open it by running an activity as a first action and then open that assignment in next action
