In Non-IE browser, Finish Assignment activity is triggered on click of a custom button
configured a custom control in a section. This custom control displays a button using HTML <button> tag and a function is called on click of it. When the button is clicked, it calls the intended function and after that 'FinishAssignment' activity is triggered which is not intended. In IE, it does not call the activity. The issue exists in Non-IE browser only. Using 6.3 SP1

Hi,
When dealing with button elements inside forms, we should always use <input type="button"> instead of <button> element. The issue gets resolved if we use this.
Please try this and let me know.
