No active session for server 'RobotManager' Cannot connect to server
While trying to connect from Pega RPA to Pega Designer which throwing the following error "No active session for server 'RobotManager' Cannot connect to server" Fields are not populate. Pega RPA Version :8.01087

Can you connect to the server externally from OpenSpan? Is the server running?

Even I am facing the same issue in Pega Robotics Studio 8.0.1085.0, I am trying to connect with Pega 7.4.0.

IdP should be turned off in CommonConfig.xml file by setting enabled=false if you are not using the identity provider.
It can be found in C:\ProgramData\OpenSpan
Try that and let us know how it goes. [You must restart PRAS after the config change]
