Need help in installing Pega8.3

I am getting postgres connection errror while installing the Pega 8.3 personal edition on my laptop. I have JAVA_HOME and jdk classpath set. PFA error.

Hi Tikendra,

Thanks for posting the query. Please follow the installation guide (https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/documents/pega-platform-83-installation-guide-tomcat-and-postgresql).

On analyzing the attached log, the below message was found in the error stack trace.

Caused by: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset
    at java.net.SocketInputStream.read
The connection was closed when Java tried to read from it. This can be caused by:

The PostgreSQL server being restarted
The PostgreSQL backend you were connected to being terminated
The PostgreSQL backend you were connected to crashing
Dodgy network connection
Badly behaved stateful firewalls

Can you please verify whether your database server is up and running.Please check postgre ports as well.Try to ping the ip:port.
