MS Office 2016 Support for the Pega 7.1.6
Hi,
For one of the critical workflow production application, we are using "Pega_OCXSP2_62_WIN_R3" CAB installer software provided by PEGA to support the MS word generation for the Pega version 7.1.6. This CAB installer software is only supporting MS Office 2010, as we are in process of upgrading office 2016 we would like to get updated CAB installer software to support the MS office 2016. The Pega account executive has suggested to submit the enhancements request to Pega product, this is time sensitive request so appreciate if someone can look into this with priority.

Hello,
Instead of raising enhancement, I would suggest you to consider updating your application to the latest release.
As per Platform support guide, beginning in version 7.1.8, Pega 7 supports any version of MS Office ( 32 bit ) that can read and interpret .docx, .xlsx, and .csv files. Any 32-bit version of MS Office which supports these file formats can be used.

Hi Santanu, we have explored this but unfortunately due to business and other legacy constrains this is not possible at this moment. we are in the process of migrating to new application which is getting implemented in 7.2.2 and for time to support the business we need to continue this. Unfortunately we want to see if any other alternative solution is in place without upgrade. Is there any updated CAB installer/ACTIVE X can be supported for office 2016 ? Appreciate your response on this with priority. Thanks.
