modify column length in external table
Hi,
created table in customer schema, need to modify column length to 500.
not able to use alter query in RDL method or run query options.

Create a connect-sql and in save method have the below mention sql query and run this connect sql by using RDB-Save method in activity.
ALTER TABLE {Class:Data-ServiceRequest} ALTER COLUMN servicerequeststatus TYPE varchar(256);
Class = Have Your tabel class.
COLUMN = Have your column name for which you need to increase column size.
Note : Make sure you are having roles to update database.

@SureshbNallagangula If you have DB access , you can run a query to update, else try with RDB save.

Hi @sureshbabuN5701, I am not 100% sure but as far as I know, since you have created the table in customer schema, the best way would be to raise an SR for the column's length modification.

For customer schema table also this query will work, no need to raise an SR. Just we need to make sure we are having needed privilege to update data base information...

Thanks @GunaSekaran_B for the reply. This is the method we follow in our current project so was not 100% sure if it's the only way/best way but anyways thank you for the information.
