Mobile App URL

Hi

I have 7.3 based application running in production. I will be building a Mobile app parallel to existing desktop app. Since user base for both application is same but different portals displayed based on user logged in from Mobile vs Desktop.

Is there a way to identify if traffic is coming from desktop application vs Mobile app?

Does it need a seperate URL configured for Pega Mobile application.

User A --> Desktop URL --> access group A --> Portal A

User A --> Mobile app (same URL as desktop URL) --> access group A --> Portal A (requirement is to show different portal when logged in from mopbile app)

Hello,

 

Pega provides OOTB way to monitor the traffic with device id, Ip address

Navigate as below , you can see the report with all details you require

Designer Studio --> Org&Security -->Authentication --> Security Policies -->Display Audit Log

There are a number of properties in the pxRequestor page (pyIsMobile, pxIsMobileDevice, pyIsHibridClient, pzIsOfflineEnabled) that you could use to circumstance the portal or any section rule. Our recommendation however is not to do this, but instead use responsive skin rules to make your UI adapt to the screen that it is on. - James
