Migrating case attachments from Pega database to a repository
Hi All,
Cloud data storage utilization in the Prod environment has reached 75%. We're considering to migrate 1TB attachment in the pega file storage repository.
We have some concerns regarding the limit, potential performance issues during the attachments migration process and its duration. I'd like to clarify on the following points regarding this approach:
1. What is the max capacity allowed to store attachments in the Pega file storage repository?
2. Approx. how much time is needed to migrate one TB of attachments?
3. Will the migrated attachments get deleted from pc_data_workattach table after migration?
4. Can the attachment migration be conducted during business hours, or is it advisable to schedule it during non business hours?
5. After migration, will there be a report available to identify cases that passed or failed during the migration process?
6. Regarding the attachment migration wizard, is it recommended to follow the sequence of Dev, Staging, and then Prod environments?
7. Is it possible to migrate only the attachments associated with closed or completed cases, as well as resolved cases that are older than six months?
8. What is the process for accessing migrated attachments in the event they are required for case investigation or review?
Any insights you may share is much appreciated.
