Migrated Summary View and List view in PRPC 7.2 envrioement
We have upgraded our application from PRPC 6.1 to PRPC 7.2. We have observed that Summary view and list views are working as it is in the migrated environment.We understand that Pega do not support Summary View or List view in Pega 7.2 GA. We are facing issues to coverting summary view and list view in our application using the pega utility. Given the senario would like to know will there be any issue/impact in future with the migrated Summary view (Customized/non Customized) sitting in Pega 7.2 Prod Environment? Are there any known issue around Summary view in Pega 7.2?

Hi anand,
Team already gave the suggestions regarding the issue, try the report definitions to get the sysytem view and the list view. In report definition we have many options to display the reports which we want and how we want.If any issues found please share them.

As you know that List View and Summary View rules are deprecated from Pega 7.2 and later. Also, we no longer support them in Pega 7.2.
Reports based on list view and summary view rules use framesets to provide a view of drill-down reports. HTML5 does not support framesets, so list view and summary view reports might not display well, or at all, in some browsers. The last version of Internet Explorer that list view and summary view rules support is Internet Explorer 11.
It is recommended that you either convert the List View/Summary Views to Report Definition or create fresh Report Definitions(RD). RD's provide a lot of advantages over the deprecated rules. Once can share, modify, and schedule report definition reports with little or no assistance from application developers.

I think you should try converting the deprecated reports and if you face any challengeswhile converting then please provide that error details so that we can check and comment on the possible solution.

Hi,
List views and summary views are deprecated in Pega 7 but continue to work as expected. Whether there will be any issues because of those rules can be concluded only depending on the usage.
How are you using those list views and summary views ? Have they been configured in UI as listview or chart controls ? If so you may face rendering issues since those controls are deprecated. If they are utilized purely for accessing data, they should continue to work as-is although it is recommended to convert them to Report Definition
