Migrate PRPC from Windows to Linux and new App Server

Hi,

we are currently running pega PRPC 7.2 in a Windows Server environment and using WebSphere for an application server, DB is Oracle.

We are considering migrating PRPC to a newer version (7.4) in a Linux Redhat environment with JBoss EAP 7, and staying with Oracle for DB. I was wondering if there would be any issues migrating our existing PRPC workflows/applications to this new environment?

Also, since we want to upgrade PRPC, would the best approach be to install 7.4 on the new server, and then migrate the data/rules from our 7.2.0 server?

Hello

The best approach to me will be 

1. Take a RAP from your existing application

2. Install a fresh instance on your new server

3. Import the RAP in the new instance

4. Decommission the old instance after taking a complete DB backup.
